What it means

HTTP 429 with type rate_limit_error means your organization hit a rate limit for requests or tokens. The retry-after header tells you how long to wait.

How to fix it

1. Read the retry-after header and wait that long.
2. Check your rate limits in the Claude Console.
3. Spread requests over time or use the Batch API for bulk work.
